The autumn sale is slowly coming to an end on Steam. One of the heavily discounted games is Red Dead Redemption 2, the blockbuster western from Rockstar Games. The sale has greatly benefited this game, as it has climbed to new levels of popularity.

  1. Yesterday Red Dead Redemption 2 set a new activity record - atthe hottest moment of the day the game was played by 77,655 concurrent users on Steam. This is the second such situation this week, as the day before yesterday the record was 72,000.
  2. This is, of course, due to the discount and is not the first such case. Last year the game was also part of the autumn sale on Steam. The price was reduced by 67% then, which was the biggest discount ever, and as a result RDR2 set a new activity record at the time, with 66,500 players.
  3. The current discount is the same and the standard version of the game can be purchased for less than $20. The offer will expire tomorrow at 8 a.m. PST..

Red Dead Redemption 2 debuted on PC in November 2019, twelve months after its release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.

The PC release is highly regarded. On Steam, it has 91% positive reviews, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception. It can also be seen that people who bought RDR2 on the autumn sale are delighted with the game, as counting reviews from the last 30 days alone, as many as 95% of them praise Rockstar Games' western, which amounts to an "overwhelmingly positive" reception.
