Recently, ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, has been making noise around its hit game on Twitter/X, but let's be clear - it's the noise the fans wanted. We're mainly talking about screenshots showing what will be coming to the game in update 1.6. The developer once again showed off a screen shot of the much-loved farm management simulator and sparked the interest of both players and co-creator of Terraria, who made an interesting proposal to Eric Barone.

Cute pets and an unexpected proposal

ConcernedApe published a screenshot on Twitter/X, in which he presented two dogs and two cats with... headgear, making them look even more adorable. The whole thing was accompanied by a simple message: "hats on cats (and dogs)". It is likely that the possibility to adorn your four-legged friends will be added in update 1.6 for Stardew Valley.

The story wouldn't be so newsworthy, however, if it weren't for the fact that Cenx, co-creator of another iconic pixel art game, Terraria, has spoken out in the comments section. The developer suggested to Eric Barone , to write her a private message with information about the release date of update 1.6 for Stardew Valley, and she would in return tell him when update 1.4.5 for Terraria would go live.

It is not known whether Eric Barone acceded to such a proposal, and even if he did, we probably won't find out anyway, since there was only talk of private messages. However, we have to admit that it's very nice that developers show interest in the works of "competitors" and look forward to additional content.

Terraria and Stardew Valley have a lot in common. Both games are maintained in a similar visual style, are not expensive, offer hundreds of hours of fun and, despite being a couple of years old, are supported all the time. In addition, significant updates are heading to both games, but so far their release dates are not known.
