While watching soccer matches on television, you have probably more than once encountered the comment that a player controls the ball as if it were glued to his leg. While such a skill in real life is the domain of only the most technically gifted soccer players, in EA Sports FC 24, the ball can become glued (literally) to the leg by any player.

Dealing with the theme of the FIFA series, Fut Sheriff, published on X/Twitter a video recorded during one of the Ultimate Team matches. It shows how a virtual footballer passes one opponent after another, eventually running into their goal. There would be nothing unusual about it, if it weren't for the fact that the player had the ball attached to his leg the whole time, and after he crossed the goal line, the referee recognized the goal he scored.

This is not an intentional act, but a glitch that allows for points (and, as a result, prizes in online games) to be scored in a way that is not necessarily in accordance with the rules. To prevent such cheating, players have demanded an immediate response from the developers, especially since this weekend's FUT Champions games begin today.

Electronic Arts responded to the request and assured that the developers will look into the matter. Unfortunately, the developers did not reveal when the bug will be eliminated.

EA Sports FC 24 was released on September 29. The new installment of the series was developed for PC, as well as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch consoles. Although the debut of the game can be considered successful from the point of view of performance, the game has been facing various glitches.
